My favorite part of the meal… the sushi that I ordered for myself. :)
From left to right: 1 piece of Unagi nigiri (fresh water eel on rice), 2 pieces of Sake sashimi (smoked Scottish salmon) and 2 pieces of Chutoro sashimi (medium fatty tuna)
All of the sushi I ordered was fantastic. The quality of the fish gave each piece the fresh flavor it is supposed to bring to your pallet. The eel wasn’t too fishy like it can be if it’s not very fresh. The salmon was rich and succulent. And my all-time favorite, the medium fatty tuna just melted in my mouth.
After seeing this post on La Cuisine D’Art I ventured over to Luxriare to check out the entire post/recipe.
THIS has to be my favorite shot of the whole post. The egg yolk running down the side of the stack of potatoes, the avocado slipping out underneath the tuna as the fork cuts into it, the truffle shavings scattered about… OMG! I’m literally salivating (on the verge of foaming at the mouth) at the sight of this. Now that is what I call breakfast!
Plans of curing some tuna in the near future are on the horizon…
Also - I agree with La Cuisine’s comment about the manner in which these photos of food are taken being similar to the shots of Dexter’s breakfast in the opening credits!!
