My Japanese co-worker compared this to refried beans. It pretty much tasted like it too. It was served with crackers, but both my co-worker who accompanied me on the trip and myself pulled a typical American move by dipping the fried chicken skin in this bean dip. Thankfully we ran out of skin, because that was dangerously tasty!
