These large-and-in-charge leeks are from the same farmer from La Porte. They were $1 a piece - what a deal!
I’m going to make a pizza with leeks, shallots, crispy prosciutto, crimini mushrooms, white truffle oil, mozarrella and ricotta cheese with them. A fancier “white pizza” if you will. :)
I picked up these gorgeous heirloom cherry tomatoes from an organic farmer from La Porte, Indiana. They were 2 pints for $4!
I got this beautiful “California Loaf” bread from Bennison’s Bakery. It has dates, raisins, cranberries, apricots and walnuts baked inside. DELISH!
The awesome folks at River Valley Ranch threw in two shallots the size of onions for $1!!
This is why I love farmer’s markets. I talked to the lady about mushrooms for 5 minutes and got a good deal on these beautiful shallots! :)

Made to order and piping hot fresh out of the deep fryer - these battered fried cheese curds were DIVINE!
I know you like that foggy/dream effect in this photo… my camera lense fogged up from my water bottle in my bag! I thought it was a perfect touch to this not-so-figure-friendly snack. :)
